How It Works

This tuner uses your browser’s microphone and the Web Audio API to capture audio in real time and detect pitch through an autocorrelation algorithm. No audio is ever sent to a server — everything runs locally in your browser.

Features
  • Chromatic mode: Detects any pitch and displays the nearest note name, octave, and frequency in Hz with a ±50 cents deviation meter.
  • Guitar (Standard Tuning) mode: Highlights the nearest standard-tuning string (E2, A2, D3, G3, B3, E4), suitable for acoustic, electric, and classical guitars.
  • Visual meter: A color-coded bar turns green when you are within ±5 cents of the target, yellow when slightly off, and red when more than ±15 cents flat or sharp.
Privacy

Your microphone audio is processed entirely in your browser. No audio data or pitch data is transmitted anywhere.
